From 1988 to 1995, I served in the United States Marine Corps. My service was honorable, and I received several unit and individual commendations, also fighting in Operation Desert Storm. In 1995 I was honorably discharged.
In early 1998, Ken Pangborn began harassing me on the internet. This included several defamatory statements like the ones included here, where he began to smear my Marine service record. In one post, he claimed that I had been discharged for "Section 8", which implies that someone is mentally unfit to serve. Mr. Pangborn claimed that he had seen the paperwork which confirmed this.
However, over the next several months, Pangborn's story changed. On one occasion, he claimed that I had been "thrown out" of the Corps for "conduct unbecoming" of a Marine. In another post, he claimed that I had been discharged for "cowardice before the enemy" in Operation Desert Storm. Yet another time, his claim was that the Marine Corps "threw me out" for "beating my [ex] wife half to death daily."
Of course, these statements contradict one another. Therefore it can be concluded that Pangborn is a liar.
Here are links to four of Pangborn's malicious lies:
"General discharge for medical reasons"
"RUNNIING (sic) from the enemy in Desert Storm"
Ken later tried to backpedal
on his "Section 8" claim, stating it was only "similar" to a "Section 8".
He also began making references to a fictional "Sergeant" who supposedly
served in my unit, who had given him the "information" about my discharge,
but whom he conveniently couldn't name: (note: major backpedaling on the
original claim that Ken had gotten the
"information" from an investigation)

There are numerous other
occasions where Ken Pangborn has made similar allegations, but these four
should be sufficient to prove that he is lying. A few things that
should be noted, which further prove that Pangborn is lying:
