Complaints about Ken Pangborn's professional services
Ken Pangborn is a "trial consultant", and his business' cornerstone is
defending men against "false allegations of domestic violence". There
have been complaints about the "services" offered by Ken, however.
These usually revolve around the following themes:
-
Ken charges a high fee, and the client gets little in return.
-
Of the work supplied by Ken Pangborn, most of it ends up being inadmissible
in court.
-
"Fear sell" techniques, i.e. Ken tells the prospective client that his
life is going to be ruined unless he acts immediately.
-
If the prospective client decides not to retain Ken's services, Ken immediately
becomes rude and belligerent. There have been allegations that this
has included harassing telephone calls.
In my opinion, Ken's actions on the internet are carefully planned.
On any given day, Ken can be found in such newsgroups as
alt.dads-rights.unmoderated,
wreaking havoc, attacking/harassing others and disrupting any topical conversations
about father's rights. One would be hard-pressed to actually produce
a topical post by Ken to that forum.
I believe it is Ken's intention to deliberately undermine the father's
rights movement. In short, any progress in father's rights legislation
will ultimately spell less business for Ken, who makes his living by taking
advantage of divorced fathers in need. By disrupting these discussions,
Ken thwarts efforts of those of us who are truly interested in making a
difference for fathers. Another possible motive for Ken's undermining
of father's rights is described in the following St.
Petersburg Times article.
Others claim to have had dealings with Ken Pangborn in a professional
capacity. Their postings are included below. Note that the
